Janice Graham has served as Executive Director of Casa Valentina since November 2019, leading the organization’s mission to provide affordable housing and life skills to youth transitioning from foster care and homelessness into independent living.
For the past two years, Janice has also served as Chair of the CBC Alliance for Miami-Dade County, the community’s oversight board for child welfare services. In this role, she works with system partners to strengthen accountability, improve service coordination, and advocate for better outcomes for children, youth, and families.
Janice’s career spans nonprofit leadership, education, and corporate management. She joined Casa Valentina in 2015 as a part-time tutor and soon became Education Director, advocating for residents and improving access to resources across the child welfare and homeless education systems. Previously, she spent ten years as Chair of the English Department at New World School of the Arts, and 16 years in senior leadership roles in the private sector—including Assistant Vice President of Staffing for Barnett Bank and a national trainer for Budget Rent-A-Car.
Janice holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations and Advertising from Florida Southern College and a Master of Science in Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University. Born and raised in Nassau, Bahamas, she resides in Miami with her husband, retired Miami-Dade County Judge Wendell M. Graham, and they are the parents of four children.
